What People Are Saying

“I wanted to share and express my gratitude to Marisol. She is such a joy to work with and went above and beyond with a rather difficult [birth]. I have had the pleasure to work with her again in an uncomplicated birth and again saw her spark. Marisol’s patience and compassion allows patients to find peace when coming to understand the ramifications of unforeseen circumstances… Marisol has the ability to truly advocate for her patients all the while helping the medical team find a way to effectively communicate beyond the patient’s mental roadblocks. Thank you, Marisol!”

“Marisol is an angel of a doula! As a FTM, there was a lot of anxiety around pregnancy and birth and I was debating on whether or not a doula would be worth it. My hospital only allowed two people to stay in the room with me during labor and delivery, and I had already chosen my support team (my sister and husband) so I initially decided to forego getting a doula until I came across her virtual doula offer. She made us feel so comfortable and confident during our consultations so it was a no-brainer to book her. She ultimately ended up being the guiding voice my anxious husband needed when it came to the big day. My labor was over 30 hours long and she checked in and gave us all the reassurance we needed the whole way through. She not only focuses on you but really likes to make sure your birth partner(s) understand what you’re going through (during pregnancy and postpartum) and gives them guidance on how to help. Very highly recommend and definitely worth!”

"I was in labor for basically 4 days, 3 of which were unmedicated at home, and the final stretch was in the hospital. Marisol was there for basically all of it. She was there when I needed her. Her morale and encouragement were so comforting. When you can't sleep because your contractions are at their worst at 3am, it's really nice not to be alone. And it's REALLY nice to have someone drawing a bath for you, or providing counter-pressure via a rebozo wrap, or helping you walk out the contractions around the block and saying a rosary with you.

When we got to the hospital, she decorated my room with fairy lights, affirmation cards, and tucked lavender oil cotton balls around the room to make it more relaxing and comforting. All of the nurses wanted to do their paperwork in my room because the aesthetic was so chill. Marisol also critically afforded my husband breaks so that he could sleep and get food. I was so exhausted by the end of that stretch. I'm really glad Marisol was there to liaison with the medical team on my behalf, and able to help me make calm decisions I could feel in control of during a life changing time.”

“Marisol was the most knowledgeable, compassionate, and helpful doula one could ask for. She was there for me most my pregnancy and in labor. Whenever I had questions, especially being a first pregnancy she always had answers and gave me peice of mind. I had horrible back pain and she suggested several stretches and exercises that I could do on my own and some that my husband could help with and they were really helpful in relieving pregnancy pains. My labor started right when she finished with another labor and she was there for me full of energy. She would ask the nurse to bring me items like a peanut ball, a mirror, or dimming the lights to help me get though labor pains and to feel as comfortable as possible. She always had a very calm voice and touch. I would highly recommend using Marisol as your doula. There is so much information and helpful tips she as a doula will provide for pregnancy, labor, post partum and breastfeeding that is not provided by your OBGYN”

“We are so thankful to have had Marisol as a part of our birth team for our first baby girl. Her advice was so valuable in so many parts of the process. I had a fairly difficult pregnancy with some complications that made the last few months very painful. Marisol was always open and ready to provide a word of comfort and talk through some potential options for how to prepare for the birth. She helped me to feel confident in how we were approaching not just the day of the birth, but the days, weeks, and months leading up to it as well!

Our due date came (and went) and we had a lot of anticipation along with uncertainty. My labor started on Friday morning but never progressed enough for the hospital staff to recommend coming in. After over a day of this extended labor, I was in a lot of discomfort and we were both worried and confused. After visiting the doctor, they wanted to induce labor immediately, but that was not in our desired birth plan. Even though she was not able to be physically present because of prior commitments, Marisol was our rock yet again as she fielded a very anxious and worried phone call. She gave us a name for the extended labor (prodromal labor) which made it far less intimidating, and she helped us to re-evaluate our birth plan and realize we had room to be flexible while sticking to our core values and desires about the birth. After the call, we were able to make a choice confidently and calmly about how we wanted to proceed. We were so thankful for the comfort and concern that Marisol was able to provide, even at a distance, and are so happy we reached out to her, especially for our first birth experience!”
